Invitation to Join HKUST(GZ) CFT RISE Week (8–18 June)

Greetings from HKUST(GZ)! We would like to invite up to 5 students from NKUA who are interested in being nominated to participate in the RBM International Students Experience Week at HKUST(GZ) from 8 to 18 June 2026.

About RISE Week:

The RISE Week Camp is designed to welcome international students into the Red Bird educational environment, offering a direct experience of it Project-based Learning (PBL) education system and its cross-disciplinary & collaborative approach to learning. Situated in the Greater Bay Area, the camp also provides a valuable context for participants to engage with the region's culture and landscape and its ongoing development in science, technology, and innovation. Through this immersive learning experience, students will gain a deeper understanding of our PBL-driven academic culture while broadening their perspectives on future academic pathways, including potential study opportunities at HKUST(GZ).

The detailed program schedule is still being finalized. In the meantime, you may refer to the attached tentative agenda (attachment 1), the RISE Week guidebook (attachment 2) and event video from our previous activity held in January 2026.

Financial Arrangements:

For this activity, HKUST(GZ) CFT will cover accommodation, local transportation in China (including airport pick-up and drop-off), meal expenses during on-campus activities, and insurance. Participating students will be responsible for round-trip international airfare, transportation and meal expenses during free time, and any other personal expenses.

Confirmation & Registration:

If NKUA would like to participate, please kindly confirm by 25 April, so that we can make any necessary adjustments to the quota allocation in advance. If confirmed, please fill in the students' information in attachment 3 and provide them ID photos by 8 May. Detailed instructions and requirements can be found in Sheet 2 and Sheet 3 of the attachment 3.

Note: Greek citizens holding ordinary passports do not need to apply for a visa to travel to China. They can enter China visa-free, with each stay not exceeding 30 days. If others need proof for visa application, feel free to contact me. For visa-related information, students may consult the local Chinese Visa Application Service Center in advance.
