The two-day conference in memory of Professor Simos Meindanis was successfully held

               

The two-day conference in memory of the late Professor Simos Meintanis entitled "" was held with great success on June 6 and 7, 2026 at the Griparion Mansion.Statistics, Econometrics and Computational Quantitative Methods in Economics", organized by the Department of Economics of the University of Athens.
The two-day conference was a tribute to the scientific contribution and academic legacy of Professor Simos Meintanis, bringing together distinguished academics, researchers and young scientists from Greek and international academic and research institutions.
During the proceedings, contemporary research approaches in the fields of Statistics, Econometrics and Computational Quantitative Methods in Economics were presented, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative research. At the same time, participants had the opportunity to honor the memory of an eminent scientist, whose work continues to inspire the international research community.
The organizing committee of the two-day conference was made up of Violetta Dalla, Ioannis Leventidis, Ioannis Basiakos and Ioannis Dimitriou, who contributed decisively to the successful organization of the event.
