Short biography Dr. Evangelia Siachou is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics (DOE) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Regarding her studies, she holds a PhD from the Athens University of Economics and Business, a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a degree from the Department of International and European Studies of Panteion University.
She has been teaching in Higher Education for many years (since 2006). For example, at the Open University of Cyprus as the Coordinator of a thematic unit of the MBA (since 2016), at the Hellenic Open University (since 2017) and at the International University (since 2021). She also teaches in various postgraduate study programs both within the TOE and interdepartmental.
For her teaching achievements, she has been awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award by the University of Athens MBA. In 2019, she received a corresponding Faculty Excellence Award from the University of Liverpool.
Her main research activity focuses on Human Resource Management and Knowledge and Innovation Management in organizations and businesses. Her articles have been published in international scientific journals and her scientific papers have been presented at various European and international academic conferences (European Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, British Academy of Management, etc.).
In 2015, it was awarded the Emerald Literati Network Highly Commended Paper Award, and in 2019, the Emerald Literati Network Outstanding Paper Award.
For the academic year 2024-2025, she was awarded the NKUA Excellence in Research Award, for the School of Economics and Political Science.
In the past, he has worked in the Strategic Planning Department of the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games, as well as in the Human Resources Department of the CDE under the auspices of the European Commission in Brussels.
