Short biography	Maria Despina Argyrou holds a PhD in Economics (NKUA, 2025) with a research focus on income inequality. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, USA (specializing in Advanced Policy and Economic Analysis) and a BA in Economics from NKUA. She has received significant scholarships for her achievements (SYLFF, Paul Nichoplas, Gerondelis Foundation). She has significant professional experience, having served as Scientific Advisor to the Deputy Governor at the Hellenic National Institute of Public Administration, External Researcher at CeSPI (Rome) and Associate Econometrics Professional at PwC. She has extensive written work and participation in international conferences, with main research fields being social welfare, development policy and the circular economy.
