Short biography Dr. Paraskevi Boufounou is an Associate Professor of Development Finance at the Department of Economics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).

She holds a Ph.D with High Distinction and an Honours First Class Bachelor Degree from the same Department of NKUA (scholarship during all her studies) and an M.Phil in Economics from Univ. of Dundee (UK).

She has many years of diverse teaching experience at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in collaboration with Greek and foreign Higher Education Institutions and has extensive published research work. Her current research interests are in the field of development finance, sustainable development and innovative/alternative forms of financing.

At the same time, he has over 35 years of experience as a Senior Executive in the Financial Sector, both in the Public and Private Sectors, with particular emphasis on investments, strategic restructuring and sustainable development.
