Short biography	Dimitrios Kainourgios is a Member of the Board of Directors of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and Professor of Finance at the Department of Economics (TOE) of NKUA. He also holds the position of Director of the Postgraduate Program “Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance (IARC)”, at the University of Athens MBA and at the UoA Center for Financial Studies of NKUA. He has taught for many years at Greek and foreign university institutions. He has published over one hundred (100) research papers/essays in international peer-reviewed journals, collective scientific volumes and monographs. His research interests focus on the analysis of international and emerging financial markets, the transmission of financial crises, corporate finance, sustainable finance, alternative investments and risk management. He is a member of international scientific associations and a reviewer in international scientific journals. Finally, he has extensive experience in consulting, professional training, as well as in lifelong and distance learning.
