The Department of Economics is one of the eight Departments of the School of Economics and Political Sciences (the other seven are the Department of Communication and Media, the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, the Department of Turkish and Contemporary Asian Studies, the Department of Business and Organizations, the Department of Sociology, the Department of Digital Arts and Film and the Department of Port and Shipping Management) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The Department of Economics is organized into four Sections (expected FEK) that include the related specializations. Their creation aims at a more efficient coordination of educational work and scientific research.
