Vlasis Missos is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics. of the University of Athens. His research concerns issues of Income Inequality, Economic Development and History of Economic Thought. He holds a PhD in Department of Economics, NKUA (2015) and has served as post-doctoral researcher in the same department (2018-'21, IKY scholarship holder). For a number of years he worked as a researcher at the Center for Programming and Economic Research (KEPE, 2018-2026) and as a member of the Social Research Unit Politics, Poverty and Inequalities of INE GSEE, while in the period 2015-'16, worked as a special advisor at the General Secretariat for Fiscal Affairs Ministry of Finance Policy. He has also worked as a consultant development policy for the government of Samoa, Polynesia, representing Adam Smith International (Sydney, 2019-'22), as visiting researcher at the University of Geneva (2023 and 2024) and has participate in independent research groups to investigate the economic inequality in Greece and the EU. His research has published in foreign and domestic scientific journals such as Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Review of Radical Political Economics, Bulletin of Economic Research, Review of Political Economy Ms. |
