Within the framework of this cooperation, HKUST (Guangzhou) will offer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.econ.uoa.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HKUSTGZ-RBM-Admission-Brochure-2026-27-Fall-Intake.pdf\">5 scholarships for postgraduate studies at HKUST&#039;s Red Bird MPhil Program<\/a>, annually, to recent graduates or seniors of the National University of Athens who will have successfully completed their studies and will have received their degree by the end of the spring semester, with the aim of starting their postgraduate studies in China in September.<\/p>\n<p>The attached document contains all information about the Red Bird MPhil Program.<\/p>\n<p>It is emphasized that this is an innovative, interdisciplinary program with an emphasis on the positive and social sciences, information technology, sustainability and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p>Recent graduates (graduated in 2025 and 2026) and final year students of the University of Athens from the fields of natural sciences and economics are eligible to apply. Certified knowledge of English at least at level B2 is required.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection criteria <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The evaluation of applications is carried out by a committee, which is appointed every three years by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and consists of NKUA faculty members, and is conducted based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Degree grade or grade point average as derived from the last analytical grade in case the candidate does not yet hold an undergraduate degree<\/li>\n<li>Letter of recommendation from a professor familiar with the applicant&#039;s work.<\/li>\n<li>Certified knowledge of English at least level B2<\/li>\n<li>Original thesis or postgraduate diploma<\/li>\n<li>Personal interview of a candidate<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Selection process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates must submit the following supporting documents:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Copy of degree and recent transcript or copy of transcript if the candidate does not yet hold an undergraduate degree<\/li>\n<li>short CV (up to two pages)<\/li>\n<li>copy of the thesis (if required by the Study Program) or postgraduate diploma (if the candidates already hold a postgraduate degree)<\/li>\n<li>A letter of recommendation from a professor familiar with the candidate&#039;s work.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The nomination files are submitted to the address of the Vice-Rectorate for Academic, International Relations and Outreach:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:vrec-acafir@uoa.gr\">vrec-acafir@uoa.gr<\/a> , in order to be examined by the competent committee.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for submitting applications for the academic year 2026-27 is set at <strong>\u00a020\/5\/2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The final selection of candidates will be made by a committee at HKUST, they will be admitted directly to the Red Bird MPhil program, and the selected candidates will be notified by June 20.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On March 16, 2026, the National University of Cyprus signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) (Guangzhou).
