CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR STUDENTS TO MOVE TO CIVIS UNIVERSITIES FOR 2026-27<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Civis - European University Alliance (Civic University of Europe)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is one of the 11 European Universities that make up the university cooperation network under the name CIVIS-\"Citizens' University of Europe\" in the framework of the European Commission's initiative \"EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY\" which is an action of the Erasmus+ programme. The nine other universities are: The University of Marseille, Aix Marseille Universit\u00e9, (Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, France), the Free University of Brussels, Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles (Brussels, Belgium), the University of Bucharest, Universitatea din Bucure\u0219ti (Bucharest, Romania), the Autonomous University of Madrid, The University of Salzburg, Paris Lodron Universit\u00e4t Salzburg (Salzburg, Austria) and the new member of the Alliance, the University of Lausanne, University of Lausanne (Lausanne, Switzerland).<\/p>\n

ATTENTION!<\/strong>\u00a0As the CIVIS programme is relatively new, there is a limited list of courses recognised by the department from which you can select courses. You choose courses from the foreign institution in which\u00a0you have not yet been successfully tested<\/strong>\u00a0in the TOE and whose syllabus coincides, according to the course syllabus, by at least 70% with the syllabus of a corresponding course taught in the current TOE curriculum.<\/p>\n

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT<\/strong>\u00a0the issue of the language of instruction in the partner institutions, in particular the University \"La Sapienza\" of Rome and the Autonomous University of Madrid.<\/p>\n

Although these institutions publish lists of courses taught in English and\/or generally state that they accept students with English language skills, there have been several cases of students who have found it very difficult to find courses in English or have even had to cancel their course because of this.<\/p>\n

Therefore, students selected to move to one of these institutions should have at least a B2 degree (unless the partner institutions require a higher degree) in Italian or Spanish respectively. In the event that students believe that they will be able to meet the requirements with English knowledge alone, they may be selected on the basis of their English degree alone at the discretion of the academic supervisor. Even then, it is recommended that they should know the local language so that they do not have problems in their daily life and in communicating with foreign academics and administrators.<\/p>\n

In any case, it is necessary to submit a foreign language degree when applying to the department (not a certificate of course attendance, an assurance that it will be examined in the future, a verbal assurance that they know the language, etc.). Students who do not hold a degree will be rejected by the TEDS at a future stage, so it will no longer be possible to replace them with runner-up students. An exception is the case of knowledge of the language as mother tongue (often not demonstrable on the basis of supporting documents).
\nAcceptable degrees are those that\u00a0recognised by the AACC (attached).<\/a><\/p>\n
