This course completes the module of Operations Research\/Management Science courses offered by the Department of Quantitative Methods. In particular, basic techniques of Decision Theory are analyzed that help the decision-maker to make better decisions in a complex problem, basic models of Queuing Theory whose use can improve the performance of a service system, while an introduction is made to the study of competitive situations with Game Theory and in particular with two-player zero-sum games.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Content:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decision Theory: Formulation of decision problems, Decision criteria in decision theory, Decision Trees, Bayesian prior and posterior decision making, Sensitivity analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Queue Theory: Basic concepts and characteristics of waiting queues (service systems), Birth-Death Process, Basic service systems (M\/M\/1, M\/M\/s, etc.), Formation of operating cost relationship.
