Argitis<\/p>\n<p>The main purpose of the Post-Keynesian Macroeconomic Theory course is to introduce students to the political economy of Keynes and Kalecki and their contribution to the development of Post-Keynesian macroeconomic theory. The course is divided into three main sections: In the first module our focus will be on the philosophy and methodology of Post-Keynesian theory. In the second section our analysis will focus on fundamental Post-Keynesian microeconomic ideas, in particular the importance of uncertainty and the role of money in the economic decision-making process. In the third section our analysis will focus on fundamental macroeconomic ideas, in particular the importance of active demand and the distribution of income in determining employment, as well as the effectiveness of monetary and fiscal policy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teaching aids:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lavoie, M.
